2025: A unique year to build what’s next

Let’s be honest: 2025 was a weird year. Not bad, not euphoric either—just different.
For us at L’Imagerie, the rhythm stopped being linear. We went through intense peaks of activity followed by very quiet periods. It can be unsettling, but we made a choice: instead of just riding the waves, we used that time to work on ourselves, on the agency.

Learning, always

When your head is down in the daily grind, you often put the essentials on the back burner. This year, we took the time to deep-dive into our organization: our workflows, validation processes, and data security. We also invested heavily in AI. For me, the goal wasn’t to follow a trend, but to understand how this tool can serve the storytelling and rhythm of our films. That is where our true value lies, far beyond simply generating "pretty" images.
Technically, the team has made a massive leap forward. We now have new certified drone pilots, we’ve pushed our color grading and VFX further, and we’ve leveled up in 3D and AI with ComfyUI. We also took the time to study new models, such as the CNC’s financial frameworks.
On my end, I continued my training cycle with APM. It’s essential for me to keep learning my craft as a leader as the agency evolves.

Pride in the work we’ve done

If we’ve progressed this much, it’s thanks to the diversity of the projects you’ve entrusted us with. Moving from one universe to another forces us to stay sharp and never rest on our laurels. I’m thinking particularly of our collaborations with:
Royal Canin, MNSTR, Gardeners, Agence Signature, Cuisines Morel, Hygena, Jaeger -Lecoultre and the GIH.
Each project was a different challenge, and it’s this variety that makes us love what we do.

Putting humans back at the heart of creation

If there is one thing I care about most this year, it’s the emphasis on well-being at work. In "passion-driven" industries, we often think we have to burn ourselves out and work late to succeed. I believe exactly the opposite.
In 2025, I wanted to protect the balance between private and professional life. We check in with our teams every three months to make sure our commitments are being met and, above all, to remove any form of toxicity from our projects.
But it is a choice I fully stand by. I am convinced that rested, fulfilled teams are far more creative. Respect and serenity are the only true guarantees of quality in the long run. Talent shouldn't be wrung out; it should be nurtured.

Looking ahead

We also wanted to give meaning to our time by supporting causes that matter to us, such as 1% for the Planet, Alpysia, and Positive Minders.
Ultimately, 2025 might not have been a year of broken records, but it’s the year we stabilized and grew stronger. 2026 is already off to a very strong start with some incredible projects on the horizon. I can’t wait to share them with you.
See you soon,

Mael Sevestre Founder of L’Imagerie Films
