
We could have gone with a nice cake, a heartfelt speech, a slideshow of throwback photos. We did some of that too. But mostly, we used the occasion to completely overhaul our technical setup. Because that's how we work at L'Imagerie Films : anniversaries are great. The right tools are better.
A proper color grading suite. Finally.
We'd been dreaming about this one for a while. It's done. We've built a fully dedicated color grading suite from scratch with high-end monitoring, a fully controlled environment and a workflow designed end-to-end. And to back it all up, we've upgraded our post-production machines with NVIDIA RTX 5080 graphics cards. In practice: even faster render times, 8K timeline performance pushed to another level, and color grading sessions that are smoother than ever. For our luxury and watchmaking projects, where a single tonal shift can change everything, it's a significant step forward. Color consistency isn't a variable anymore. It's a signature.
The Canon R6 Mark III. And a ridiculous lens pairing.
New body in the family: the Canon EOS R6 Mark III, paired with the RF 24-105mm. Surgical autofocus, stunning low-light performance, total versatility. The kind of combo you reach for when you need to move fast without dropping the ball on quality. On a tight corporate shoot or a brand film day, it genuinely changes the pace.
DZO Probe Lens: for the shots nobody else is getting.
We've also brought DZO Probe Lenses into the kit. These are macro endoscope optics that slip into impossibly small spaces: between the components of a watch movement, through a mechanism, right into the heart of a product at millimetre scale. The shots they produce are extraordinary, and simply not possible with conventional glass. For our luxury and watchmaking clients, it's a real storytelling differentiator. We're pretty pleased with ourselves on this one.
Lighting: we rebuilt the whole thing.
Our entire lighting setup has been renewed. On the Aputure side, we've moved up to the latest generation fixtures with maximum colour accuracy, remote control via Sidus Link and full flexibility for both studio and location work. We've also added Amaran 120c mini spots to the kit. Compact, incredibly adjustable, they fit anywhere: tight spaces on a manufacturing floor, a boutique shoot, a corner of a set where there's no room for anything bigger. Exactly what we need for both our corporate productions and our high-end commercial shoots.
Transmission, video return, wireless sound. The full package.
We've also rebuilt the on-set transmission chain from end to end. New video return monitor on set, new DJI wireless video transmission system for zero-latency full-quality feeds. For sound, Hollyland wireless mics are now part of our kit: discreet, reliable, cable-free. Less rigging to deal with, more freedom for everyone on set. These are details that might seem minor from the outside, but they make a real difference to the pace of a shoot day.
