FILMS FOR
LUXURY MAISONS

L'Imagerie Films is a luxury video production studio working with maisons in watchmaking, jewellery, leather goods and beauty. A dial, a stone setting, the grain of a hide: at this scale, everything shows. Jaeger-LeCoultre, Van Cleef & Arpels, Hublot. We have been filming pieces like these since 2016, with art direction and lighting direction handled by our own team, motion control and 8K cameras, from our base between Annecy and Geneva.

EXPERTISE
IN LUXURY FILM

A maison does not hand its pieces to a crew discovering the category. What to bring out on a product and what to let recede, what a given light reveals or flattens, how much time you realistically get with a piece: these are reflexes, and they are earned on set.
We earned ours producing brand films for these houses since 2016. Art direction and lighting direction are ours, not delegated. We arrive having read your codes, speaking the same language as your guidelines, and willing to say no to a shot that would do the product a disservice.

MOTION CONTROL
AND 8K ON HAND

We own a substantial equipment park: 8K cameras, a motion control rig, optics. Most of a product shoot therefore starts from our own kit, without waiting on a rental schedule. When a project calls for a machine we do not have, we rent it, but that is a technical choice rather than a calendar constraint. In practice, when a piece frees up for a short window, we are in a position to shoot. The chain stays short afterwards. One production manager follows the film from the first recce to the final export and holds the whole of post-production: grading, retouching and sound design, along with 3D and motion design. When a project calls for a specialist, they step into a workflow that already exists, with the colour reference and the standard set beforehand. The master, the social cutdowns and the large-format LED export all read the same way. You never deal with five suppliers. You deal with one person, who answers for the whole thing.

How a luxury project actually runs

Luxury projects come with constraints that have nothing to do with filmmaking: pieces available for a short window, guidelines specified in detail, a launch date fixed long in advance. We build the retro-planning around those, not around ours, whether the shoot runs from our Annecy studio or crosses the border into Geneva and French-speaking Switzerland. Detailed budget, named validation gates, and a single contact who was in the room at the briefing.

WHAT MAISONS
ASK US

01.

Do you only work with watchmaking, or other luxury categories too?

Watchmaking, jewellery, leather goods and beauty. The same reflexes that work for a dial or a stone setting apply to the grain of a hide or a beauty product's finish.

02.

What if the piece is only available for a short window?

We build the schedule around that constraint, not around ours: detailed budget, named validation gates, and a single contact who was in the briefing, so the window isn't lost figuring out logistics.

03.

How much does a film cost?

Budgets start around €5,000–10,000 for smaller projects and can reach €200,000–400,000 for complex productions. It all depends on scope, ambition and the level of expertise required. We're always fully transparent on our quotes and we adapt to your priorities.

04.

Who handles art direction and lighting on set?

Our own team, not delegated. Art direction and lighting direction have been ours since 2016, on maisons including Jaeger-LeCoultre, Van Cleef & Arpels and Hublot.

05.

Do you provide security or special handling for high-value pieces?

No, that's outside what a production studio does. What we control is confidentiality on set and in post, and a single production manager who follows the piece from the first recce to the final export.
