For the launch of its new MiniFreak 49 synthesizer, Arturia once again trusted us to create a one-minute commercial: bold, unconventional and driven by music.
A project combining video production, electronic music and motion control, set against a raw and spectacular backdrop.
This time, everything started with a track produced by Arturia using the MiniFreak 49 itself. An unusual creative process for us: the music dictated the direction, camera movements and editing, rather than the other way around.
The challenge was to translate the synthesizer's energy and features into a modern, disruptive visual experience that stayed true to the MiniFreak DNA.
We headed to the top of the Salève cable car for a nighttime shoot in a monumental setting.
But the wind had other plans. Our original setup, involving a massive stretched fabric backdrop, quickly became impossible. The team adapted on the spot, turning to a huge raw concrete structure that ultimately gave the film its distinctive visual character.
On the technical side, traditional camera setups and Ronin shots were combined with our in-house motion control robotic arm, creating precise, dynamic and immersive movements around the synthesizer.
Raw architecture, a live performance by the client himself and carefully choreographed camera movements: everything comes together in an intense, music-driven commercial.
Another collaboration with Arturia that reflects our passion for projects where creativity, adaptability and technical precision come together.
