As part of the ongoing Timeless Icon campaign, Jaeger-LeCoultre entrusted L’Imagerie with the production of a 15-second film and a series of visuals dedicated to the Reverso Tribute Duoface Small Seconds. A new project continuing our collaboration with the Manufacture, following projects including The Collectibles – Reverso and the Polaris Date.

Two faces, one movement

The Reverso Tribute Duoface Small Seconds is built around a technical feature that is also inherently visual: its calibre 854 powers two dials positioned back-to-back within the Reverso's iconic swivelling case. Both sets of hands move in opposite directions while being driven by a single mechanism.

The film therefore combines product shots with watchmaking craftsmanship, moving through dial setting, hand fitting, assembly and front-and-back inspection to gradually reveal the timepiece.

Working within the Timeless Icon universe

The challenge was not to create an entirely new visual universe, but to precisely extend the one already established by Jaeger-LeCoultre for its Timeless Icon campaign.

Revealing the dial through light

The main technical challenge centred around the blue dial and its distinctive sunray finish. Depending on the position of the watch, the camera movement and the angle of the light, its reflections can change dramatically.

Precise lighting work was therefore essential to preserve the texture and maintain a consistent appearance from one shot to the next. This attention to detail is central to our approach to luxury brand films, where light plays a direct role in revealing materials, textures and finishes.

The result combines product imagery and watchmaking craftsmanship in a short film designed to reveal the singular character of the Reverso Duoface while remaining fully aligned with the visual identity of the Timeless Icon campaign.
